About the certification
Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) curriculum for adults, delivered by certified instructors.
- Duration
- 8 hours of training, in one full day or two half-day sessions.

Curriculum
Signs and symptoms of common conditions, myths and stigma, substance use, and the five-step MHFA action plan.
Practice with real scenarios
Guided exercises for difficult conversations, including panic crises and suicide risk.
Skills participants take with them
Non-judgmental listening, risk assessment, initial support and effective referral to professional resources.
Certification
After completing the 8 hours, each participant receives their official MHFA certification, valid for three years.
